The Costa Mesa Foundation currently is comprised of members who hold one of two titles: Board of Director and Associate Member. Four of the Board of Directors also hold officer positions including President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.
Lisa Schultz
Longtime resident and business owner of a hairstyling studio and salon called Crowning Glory Hairstyling here in Costa Mesa, Lisa has been a volunteer and board member for nearly 10 years. After many years actively supporting the mission of the Foundation she currently serves as president. In addition to the Foundation, she serves and travels as a volunteer teaching her craft with an international volunteer group called Global Operations Development, founded in her hometown of Louisville, KY.
Nichole Scott
Nichole Scott has been raised in and has lived in Costa Mesa for over 30 years. She loves her work as a Critical Care RN for both local and surrounding hospitals. She loves her community and enjoys helping improve the lives of the citizens of Costa Mesa.
Dean Abernathy
Professor of architecture at Orange Coast College. Dean Abernathy has raised a family in Costa Mesa and was a Past President of the Costa Mesa Foundation and is currently on the Board of the Orange Coast River Park (OCRP).
Mary Fewel
Mary Fewel has been on the Costa Mesa Foundation board since 2006, taking 2015 off to start Village Green Real Estate, which specializes in sales, leasing, and property management of West Costa Mesa homes. Mary has served as Foundation president, and has chaired the annual Concerts in the Park for several years. Married to Chris Fewel since 1988, they have two sons, Ian and Matt. Mary loves to spend time in Costa Mesa's Canyon Park, and at their vacation home in Punta Cabras near Ensenada Mexico.
Linda Tenno
Linda Tenno served as a teacher and principal at Victoria Elementary School in Costa Mesa. She has lived in Costa Mesa for over 30 years, and volunteers for several organizations in the city. Her sons attended Estancia High School.
JoJo Crowley
Student of architecture at Orange Coast College. JoJo Crowley was born in Tahiti but raised here in Costa Mesa all his life. JoJo has been highly involved with the OCC Architecture Club and has held the position of Club President for one full academic school year.
Alison Wright
Alison Wright is a PBS SoCal Ambassador with a background in secondary and early childhood education. She has lived with her husband in Costa Mesa since 2008 and is dedicated to volunteering in her community. Alison has a passion for community engagement, travel, and the arts.
Andrew Nielson
Andrew Nielson is an executive with a technology company in south Orange County. He has lived with his wife and three young kids in Costa Mesa since 2013 and is proud to help support the community through his involvement with the Costa Mesa Foundation as well as a member of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District Citizens Advisory Committee.
